KEWAUNEE COUNTY, Wis. — The Kewaunee County Public Health Department is issuing an advisory encouraging individuals who are at high-risk of contracting COVID-19 to continue to wear a face covering when in a public setting.

This advisory follows the expiration of the State mask mandate on March 31, 2021. It is not a mandate.

“We have made significant progress in reducing the number of positive COVID-19 cases in Kewaunee County, and if we continue to mask on our own, continue to hand wash and sanitize frequently, continue to social distance and stay home when sick, we can keep our active case numbers low or even bring that number down to zero getting us back to a sense of normality,” said Cindy Kinnard, RN, Kewaunee County Public Health Department Director.

As of March 26, 2021, Kewaunee County has seen 2,557 positive cases with 11 active as well as 2,512 recovered individuals and 34 deaths.
