KAUKAUNA (NBC 26) — Kaukauna Police said two deaths reported earlier this week were murder-suicide.

In an update issued Thursday, police said officers responded Tuesday to an address in the 300 block of West 10th Street for a welfare check on people living at the address due to family concerns about not being able to contact them.

Officers forced entry into the dwelling and found the bodies of 24-year-old Alicia Hoffman and 19-year-old Anthony Vance.

Police said based on crime scene evidence and autopsy reports, Hoffman died of a gunshot wound and Vance died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Both parties resided at the address and were in a relationship. This is still an ongoing investigation, police said Thursday. Police also said they wouldn't release any other information.
