KAUKAUNA (NBC 26) -- The Kaukauna Municipal Pool will open Friday with some restrictions to ensure safety.
You must pre-register to use the pool and no walk-ins are allowed. The pool will also not sell passes this summer.
Capacity at the pool will be reduced to 150 people to allow for social distancing.
"We do know that a lot of the modifications we made are going to be very inconvenient for people. But we hope everyone understands the reason we put these inconveniences in place is to do our best to make sure people are safe and still get the ability to use the pool this year,” said Jeff Malloy, the Recreation Director for the City of Kaukauna.
Additionally, pool patrons cannot change in the locker rooms. People must wear swimming gear as they enter and leave the pool facility. People will have access to the area to use the restroom.
There will be social distancing markers on the sidewalk as you come to the door.
The pool will not have food concessions for now. There will also be no access to the volleyball court and jungle gym on the property.
