GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — JBS Green Bay will hold a free Covid-19 vaccine clinic and give away free meat for a year to one lucky winner.

In partnership with Bellin Health Systems and the Brown County Health and Human Services Department - Public Health Division, the clinic will be held from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Aug. 18 at the Farmers Market on Broadway in Downtown Green Bay.

JBS USA will award one winner at the clinic who receives their first vaccine with free beef, pork and poultry to feed a family of four for a year. Anyone receiving a vaccine will also receive a free half ribeye and a backpack filled with school supplies. To date, more than 75 percent of JBS Green Bay team members have been vaccinated.

“We’re encouraging everyone to add a Covid-19 vaccination to their back-to-school list this year,” said Hicham Timejardine, JBS Green Bay general manager. “Every vaccine received will help keep our team members, our loved ones, and our community safe and healthy.”

JBS USA has promoted vaccination among its workforce of more than 66,000 employees. The company’s vaccination program includes onsite clinics, paid time off, a $100 incentive bonus and a multi-lingual education campaign. Nearly 70 percent of its U.S. workforce has been vaccinated.

The vaccination rate of team members at many of the JBS facilities exceeds the average rate of vaccination in the surrounding community by more than two to three times.

The JBS USA “Your Shot at Free Meat for a Year” sweepstakes campaign is part of the company’s Hometown Strong initiative, which is contributing more than $70 million to support its local communities across the country during the pandemic. Learn more here.
