GREEN BAY, Wis. (NBC 26) — After reconvening Saturday, the jury in the James Prokopovitz homicide case has found him guilty.
James Prokopovitz has been convicted of killing his wife, Victoria, who disappeared in 2013. Her body was never found.
Prosecutors said Prokopovitz was the last person to see his wife alive and pointed to statements he made that his wife was dead and, "never coming back."
Dozens of witnesses testified during the trial, which began last week at the Brown County courthouse in Green Bay.
Prokopovitz was charged with first-degree intentional homicide with a domestic abuse modifier, resisting or obstructing an officer, perjury before court and conspiracy to commit perjury.
Jurors found the Prokopovitz guilty on all four counts after two full days of deliberation.
