ASHWAUBENON (NBC 26) — Grocery store chain Hy-Vee has plans for the former Shopko building at Bay Park Square Mall.
An agenda packet from the Ashwaubenon Village Board shows Hy-Vee has requested a Class "B" Beer/"Class B" Liquor License for a bar/food hall/patio area that would be located at the site of the former Shopko.

According to the Village Board agenda packet, the Public Works and Protection Committee recommended approval along with suspending the 90-day Statement of Intent at a December 7 meeting.
The Shopko location at Bay Park Square closed down in 2019 after the retail company filed for bankruptcy. While the building sits empty most of the time, it has recently served as a location for temporary pop-up shops during the Halloween season.
