BELLEVUE (NBC 26) — On the eve of the big gun deer opener Saturday, many hunters were ready to catch some deals before heading out into the woods.
It's part of Fleet Farm's Orange Friday, a yearly tradition that brings more than half-a-million hunting enthusiasts to the store nationwide. Because of the pandemic, extra precautions are being taken to keep everyone safe, and orange.
"I anticipate we will have a lot of traffic," said store manager Bill Ouradnik. "We have line cuing set up to maintain social distancing if we do have lines."
The store opened early at 6 a.m. The first 500 customers got a hat and a coupon for some extra savings. They do ask people to wear their masks and be mindful of social distancing.
