GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — HSHS hospitals in Wisconsin are now lifting and modifying some COVID-19-related restrictions on visitors.
In a news release Monday, HSHS says patients are now permitted to receive more visitors. Hospital cafeterias are also now back open to visitors.
The updated visitor policies, listed below, are now in effect at HSHS St. Vincent Hospital, HSHS St. Vincent Children’s Hospital and HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center in Green Bay; HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan; and HSHS St. Clare Memorial Hospital in Oconto Falls:
- All patients may have up to two visitors at a time.
- Visitors under age 12 are not permitted.
- All patients nearing end-of-life will have special arrangements made on a case-by-case basis.
- Patients with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 may not have visitors; the only exception to this is a pediatric patient and other special circumstances that will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
HSHS hospitals will also welcome visitors back into hospital cafeterias, though physical distancing in those areas is still encouraged.
The organization says all visitors will still be screened for COVID-19 symptoms and exposure upon arrival to HSHS hospitals, are required to wear a facemask that covers the nose and mouth and are required to use hand sanitizer regardless of COVID-19 vaccination status.
