GREEN BAY (NBC 26) -- With cases continuing to climb, some communities are recommending families don't trick or treat this Halloween.
NBC 26 talked with an expert who says there are ways to reduce the risk. A professor at UW-Green Bay said to remember the “Three W’s”: wear a mask, watch your distance and wash your hands
"The lowest risk would be you trick or treat with your household members. That's the best advice I can give. The other recommendation if there are going to be friends involved, keep your distance as you go door to door," said Brian Merkel.
Merkel said you can still make it fun and incorporate masks into a costume.
