OCONTO COUNTY (NBC 26) — Fire officials say a home is a total loss after it went up in flames Thursday.
According to Suring Fire Chief Mark Zahn, the fire department responded to a fire on Highway G along the northeast side of Kelly Lake in Oconto County at 1 p.m. Thursday.
Zahn said the year-round cabin, which had no occupants inside at the time of the fire, is a complete loss.
The fire also caused a little damage to the siding of a neighboring cabin.
Four other fire departments provided assistance, including the city of Gillett and towns of Underhill, Gillett and Brazeau.
No word yet on what caused the fire.
