GREEN BAY (NBC 26) -- For the third night this week, the Green Bay Metro Fire Department and Green Bay Police department teamed up to show their appreciation for local healthcare workers.

Tonight's 'Hospital Hero Shout Out' happened outside HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center.

"Teams get tired," HSHS St. Mary's Hospital Chief Nursing Officer Ken Nelson said. "This has been going on for so long. I think a lot of times, people - you know anything that they can grab on to to help to just keep them going to take care of patients it's another show of appreciation and we can't thank them enough."

GBMFD and GBPD drove up and displayed emergency lights and sirens to show their appreciation for the work healthcare workers continue to do during the pandemic.

This week, similar displays happened at Bellin Hospital, HSHS St. Vincent Hospital, and Aurora BayCare Medical Center.
