APPLETON (NBC 26) -- With a record number of high schools participating, the Fox Cities P.A.C. has kicked off the fifth anniversary season of the Center State High School Musical Theater Program.

This year, that program is going virtual.

"It's an outlet for emotions...the kids are going through a lot of emotions right now especially the seniors because it's just an unprecedented year,” said Tiffany Uitenbroek, the Southwest High Musical and Theater Program Co-Director. “It's not the senior year that they had envisioned their whole life. So, it's just another way for them to get out some of those emotions and get some normalcy back into their life."

Leaders say even if it doesn't look the same, a lot of it is music as usual.
