GREENVILLE, Wis. (NBC 26) -- The pandemic has encouraged folks to think outside the box.

There's a woman from Greenville who is taking her love of hiking to the next level and she wants to share her passion with others.

Brittney Dorsey has always loved the outdoors.

"It's just this passion that has grown and consumed all of my time," said Dorsey.

She and her husband purchased their first camper van a few years ago and made some modifications to tailor it to their needs.

"You just get in the van and you go," said Dorsey. "It buys you so much freedom to explore and that's the best place to be is outside making memories in my opinion."

They're making it so others can enjoy the pastime as well.

'Vista the Van' is listed for rent on Outdoorsy.com.

It's basically a home on wheels. It has two seat belts and enough room for two people to sleep.

"Everything you need is in there, your water, your solar power and your toilet," said Dorsey. "You can really be in the middle of nowhere for a week completely sustainable and it's awesome."

The van includes a king size bed, fridge and freezer, a table and plenty of storage.

The cost is $160 per night. Discounts kick in if you rent it for a week or even a month.

A five-star review written in October of 2020 by Pa M. says, "Had a wonderful time! Brittney was super nice and helpful. Highly recommend!"

"It's like this new adventure of finding these places where you can open the doors and have a view," said Dorsey. "You're in your cozy bed but you're outdoors with a view and it's hard to beat."

The camper van is located near Appleton. Pickup and drop off can be arranged for an extra charge.

The rental includes 150 miles per day for free.

Add-ons include a tent, camp chairs, camp stove, inflatable kayak, and an outdoor shower.

Bring your dog for an additional $100 charge.

It's everything you could ever need to start a new adventure.

Brittney and her husband are in the process of creating a second van. This one will seat and sleep 4 people.

Their goal is to have it done and available to rent by May 1st.
