GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — The Green Bay Ukrainian-American community is partnering with Meest Chicago Shipping LLC to send humanitarian aid and basic military supplies to Ukraine.
They're asking for donations including, but not limited to:
- Non-perishable food
- Clothes and footwear for men/women/children
- Thermal underwear Hygiene products (women’s products, diapers, etc.)
- Blankets
- Bedding
- Tableware (disposable)
- First aid and first aid kits
- Arm sling
- Antiseptic wound gel
- Antiseptic wipes
- Powder free gloves (large)
- Blood pressure machines
- Face shield masks
- Elastic bandage wraps
- Gauze
Monetary donations are also welcome. Cornerstone Mortgage will be matching cash donations up to $3,000.
All donated items will be trucked by a volunteer from Green Bay to Chicago. From there, Meest will fly the donations to Poland, truck them into Lviv and distribute them to relevant Ukrainian relief organizations. Meest has been shipping items to Ukraine for more than 20 years.
You can donate by dropping off the items at Relyco, Inc. in De Pere, Cornerstone Mortgage or St. Matthews Orthodox Church.
