GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — The Green Bay Area Public School District announced Wednesday it has purchased two new concession trailers to better serve school meals to students while learning virtually.
The school district had previously established mobile meal routes back in October to serve families in their own neighborhoods, where transportation issues may not allow students access to school meals.
Since October, the school district said almost 30,000 meals, including breakfast, lunch, dinner and a snack, have been served.
The mobile meal locations are: North Baird Trailer Park, 1400 N Baird Street; VT Pride Park, 2203 Imperial Lane; North Danz Trailer Park, AV Terrace Mobile Home Park, 1226 N Danz Avenue; Navarino Park, 228 S. Jackson Street.
When the trailers are no longer needed for serving meals during the school year, they will be used for the District’s annual summer food program and for special events.
