GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — Staff and students in the Green Bay Area Public School District will return to a hybrid in-person learn model beginning in late March, according to a plan released by the school district Wednesday.

The newly released plan is based on the Tuesday announcement from Wisconsin DHS. In that announcement, teachers would tentatively be eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccination beginning March 1.

With that in mind, the school district said staff will return to school March 22. Then, on March 29, the school district's schedule said Head Start, 4K, 5K and grades 1-5 will return for in-person learning (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday). Wednesdays will be a virtual learning day (no school for Head Start and 4K).

Grades 6 and 9 will return - Cohort A attends in-person Monday and Tuesday, Cohort B attends in-person Thursday and Friday. Wednesdays will be a virtual learning day.

On April 5, the school district's plan said Grades 7, 8, 10, 11, and 12 will return - Cohort A attends in-person Monday and Tuesday, Cohort B attends in-person Thursday and Friday. Wednesdays will be a virtual learning day.
