GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — Green Bay Police said they've developed some leads in the UWGB homicide investigation.

The department did not say exactly what those leads were, only to say in a statement Wednesday that investigators continue to look into this information, along with additional information that has evolved during the past 24 hours.

Police officers found a body just after midnight Tuesday in the area of Champeau Road and Sussex Road, on the UWGB campus. The case is being investigated as a homicide.

"In collaboration with UWGB Police, the Green Bay Police Department has taken the lead on this investigation and both agencies will continue to work closely as the investigation evolves," Green Bay Police said Wednesday. "Green Bay Police Forensics Unit and the Brown County Medical Examiners Office were also on scene during the initial stages of the investigation."

Police said Green Bay officers will continue to work with their law enforcement partners locally and at the state level to help in the identification of those involved in this incident. Green Bay Police still maintain that this was an isolated incident.

The public is asked to report any information that they believe may be related to this incident by calling the Green Bay Police Department at 920-448-3200 or Crime Stoppers at 920-432- 7867.
