Green Bay Police search for 'violent meth user'

GREEN BAY (NBC 26) -- Authorities are searching for a man police call a "violent meth user" who has led multiple law enforcement jurisdictions on high speed chases.

Green Bay Police said in a Facebook post Wednesday that James P. Johnson is wanted for multiple warrants through the Brown County Sheriff’s Office and Wisconsin Department of Corrections - Probation. Police said Johnson is also facing drug charges from the Green Bay Police Department/Brown County Drug Task Force.

According to Green Bay Police, Johnson was recently staying at a home with his girlfriend in the 700 block of North Clay Street with his girlfriend. Johnson has associates in the 1300 block of Bellevue Street and the 900 block of Alta Street in Howard. Police said Johnson also frequents the Oneida Casino.

Police said Johnson and people he was involved with are heavily involved in meth and are known to steal to support their addiction. Police also said Johnson sells stolen Milwaukee power tools from Home Depot and is known as the “Milwaukee Tools” guy.

According to Green Bay Police, if you see Johnson, use caution because he is known to run and fight.
