GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — The Green Bay Police Department reports a shooting occurred on Friday afternoon outside the Walgreens on the corner of West Mason and Oneida Street, leaving one injured and in a local hospital.

Police say one person who is the suspected shooter is in custody, while another suspected to have a knife is still on the loose. Green bay police's k9 unit is actively searching for the suspect.

“A lot of work has to be done, the investigation into interviewing the individual that was taken into custody and find out what information we can get from him, certainly the victim in this case and any information we can get from anybody that was with him,” said Green Bay Police Captain Ben Allen.

Area schools were in lockdown after the incident first took place.

Police are looking for witnesses to learn more information. It's unknown how many shots were fired. Officials say stray bullets hit the AutoZone building across the street.

Green Bay Police say this is an active investigation and they'll provide updates soon.
