GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — Green Bay Police are investigating two deaths at a home on the 800 block of 3rd Street in Green Bay.

The Green Bay Police Department received a 911 call just after 8:00 a.m. regarding what police called "a suspicious death call."

When officers arrived, police said they found two dead people inside the home. Police also said two other un-injured residents of this home were escorted from the home by officers and later reunited with family.

According to the police, the deceased individuals were an estranged couple who were not living together at the home on 3rd Street.

"There is no reason to believe that the public is in any danger as it relates to this incident," police said in a statement.

"The Green Bay Police Department wants to remind our community that there are many services in our area that are available to assist anyone that finds themselves in an abusive relationship, along with services for those who are struggling with relationship and emotional concerns," a statement from police said.

“Every time a tragedy like this occurs, it impacts our entire community," Chief Chris Davis said. "For people experiencing domestic violence, there are resources available to help. No one should have to live in fear for their safety.”

The investigation is ongoing. On Monday, the scene was cordoned off with police tape and multiple police vehicles were on scene.

The incident is near an elementary school. According to school district officials, Tank Elementary school did not go into lockdown. The school briefly considered it but judged the situation safe for students.
