GREEN BAY -- Police say a spike in crime around Navarino Park in Green Bay has led to park an armored truck, known as the armadillo, in the area. The Green Bay Police Department's armored truck will be parked at Navarino Park to curb crime.
“We want the community to know that when we get complaints, we act on it and when we get complaints from neighbors around the park, we want to do something, make sure they live in their house with peace,” said Green Bay Police Commander Keven Warych.
Commander Warych says there has been a recent uptick in young people committing crimes in the area, and parking what's called the armadillo in the area is a way to try to keep the neighborhood is safe.
