GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — Green Bay Police are investigating a "shots fired" incident that was reported Saturday morning on the city's west side.
At around 9:18 a.m., officers were sent to the 100 block of Perkins Avenue for a report of a male person firing a handgun. Witnesses reported that a person had fired at least one shot from outside of an apartment building. Other people were seen running from that same location.
Police said officers canvassed the area and did not find any victims. The suspect was no longer on scene and is thought to have fled from the area prior to police arrival. The only description of the suspect was a shirtless male. Once officers collected evidence and ensured the area was safe, the scene was cleared. The investigation is ongoing.
