GREEN BAY, Wis. (NBC 26) — UPDATE: The woman has been taken into custody by Green Bay Police. The area is now open to traffic.
Green Bay Police and Brown County Sheriff's officers responded to reports of an armed woman at the intersection of East Mason Street and Bellevue Street around 4:19 a.m. on Wednesday.
The woman displayed her weapon in a threatening way. Officers are currently negotiating with her.
Traffic is being diverted from the intersection. Commuters are asked to completely avoid the area, as officers and street barricades are blocking the intersection.
The situation is ongoing. NBC 26 has a crew on the scene and will provide updates when available.
