GREEN BAY — Green Bay Police are reminding pet owners not to bring their furry friends into farmers markets.

Police say under Chapter 25 of Municipal Code, section 9, animals are prohibited in City Parks and Farmers Markets.

There are some exceptions to the rule. Police say dogs and their owners can walk through parks while on a leash and dog owners have to pick up any waste. Those exceptions, however, do not apply to farmers markets.

Emotional support animals are also not allowed in farmers markets, police say, because they are not covered under the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act).
