Green Bay Police are currently dealing with an incident in the 800 block of S. Baird St. on Green Bay's East side, the department said Friday.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area or use S. Irwin Ave. as an alternative.
Green Bay Police say they're looking to take an uncooperative man into custody. According to Green Bay Police Captain Clint Beguhn, police were contacted Friday morning, by a family about a disturbance that had occurred at a home on S. Baird Street.
Police arrived and tried to contact a man at the home but police said he barricaded himself inside of the residence and refused to come out. Police are trying to negotiate with him.
The situation is contained within the house on Baird and the public at large is not in danger, police said.
