Green Bay house fire leaves one person displaced

GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — According to the Green Bay Metro Fire Department, at approximately 12:25 a.m. on Saturday they were called to a report of a structure fire on 920 S. Oneida Street.

When fire crews arrived, they found a single family residence with smoke showing from the attic area.

They quickly extinguished the fire located in the attic space around the fireplace chimney, with the fire deemed under control within 15 minutes.

Additional overhaul was completed and the fire deemed stopped at 50 minutes.

One person was displaced due to the fire and there were no injuries reported.

The fire is currently under investigation by the Fire Marshal's Office, with an estimated dollar loss of $80,000.

Other agencies that assisted were WPS, Green Bay Police and Department of Public Works
