GREEN BAY (WGBA) -- The City of Green Bay Policy and Protection Committee did not pass its recommendation for a city-wide mask ordinance.

The vote ended 2-2. The committee discussed Monday night about whether it would recommend city attorneys write an ordinance that would require everyone out in public in the city to wear a mask. If it passed, the full city council would vote on in it next Tuesday.

However, there is still a chance the Green Bay City Council votes on a mask ordinance. Mayor Eric Genrich has the power to request attorneys right up a different type of ordinance. In tonight's meeting, city attorneys said Mayor Genrich has not put in a request for that type of ordinance.
