GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — Green Bay area high school students are getting a head start on their technical college education.
Eight students in the district's City Stadium Automotive Program are receiving college credits to Northeast Wisconsin Technical College and a one-year diploma by completing the program.
One East High School grad says the program gives him good hands-on experience.
“Working on customer cars, like actual customers while you're learning, really stood out to me. I thought it was just on lab cars, and then they stared pulling in customer cars and giving us real repair orders, problems, and codes that we had to find. So, I thought it was cool because it's like working in an actual shop,” said Waylon Fry, an East High School student.
East, West, and Preble Students were recognized at a ceremony Wednesday at East High School.
