GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — New sculptures are now available for viewing at the Green Bay Botanical Gardens. The sculptures are intended to raise awareness about plastic pollution.

The exhibit, entitled "Washed Ashore: Art to Save the Sea", features eight large sculptures of marine animals made from trash and debris washed up from bodies of water.

The Gardens state the exhibit highlights issues related to plastic pollution and how we can help as plastic consumers. One of the sculptures, Stanley the Sturgeon, represents how plastic pollution affects the Great Lakes region.

The exhibit opens to the public on Saturday.
