GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — The community-wide giving event Give BIG Green Bay is now over and preliminary numbers on the event's website show that the event raised more than $2.4 million for local non-profits this year.
The mission of Give BIG Green Bay 2022 is to highlight the work of 45 local nonprofit organizations working to improve lives in the greater Green Bay community.
The Green Bay Packers Foundation will offer $250,000 in matching funds and incentives to encourage everyone to donate at any level.
The combined four-year total of GBGB has exceeded $5.5 million of support for local nonprofits; last February, 4,854 donors raised more than $2.085 million in 24 hours.
More than 43 percent of these donors self-identified as new to the organization they supported.
