DE PERE (NBC 26) — The nice temperatures brought out Girl Scouts in De Pere who used the weather to their advantage to sell some delicious cookies.

When you buy Girl Scout cookies, leaders say you’re helping fund programs and experiences that can teach and broaden the lives of future young leaders.

“With all this money we can do a lot of fun stuff that we have planned," said 7-year-old Piper.

“We roast marshmallows, we might go fishing and hiking," said 7-year-old Cece.

And all the proceeds stay local.

For every box of cookie you buy, you’re helping girls in your community by helping support this next generation of successful women.
