GREEN BAY — The 5th annual Get Your Rear in Gear - Green Bay event is Saturday, August 3 at the Aurora Bay Care Medical Center in Green Bay.
The event is an annual 5K Run/Walk to raise awareness of colon cancer, including the importance of early detection and getting age-appropriate screenings. According to the Colon Cancer Coalition, the odds of getting colon cancer are 1 in 23.
Registration on Saturday is at 7 a.m. A Kid’s Fun Run will kick off at 8:30 a.m., followed by the 5K Timed Run at 9 a.m., and a 1.5 Mile Walk is set for 9:02 a.m. The Post Race Finisher awards will be held at 10 a.m.
