ASHWAUBENON (NBC 26) — Low-fare carrier Frontier Airlines announced Tuesday it's offering new nonstop flights from Green Bay to Tampa beginning this December.
The airline made the announcement during a news conference held Tuesday morning at Austin Straubel International Airport.
“We’re thrilled to announce new service in Green Bay with nonstop flights to Tampa beginning this winter,” said Daniel Shurz, senior vice president of commercial, Frontier Airlines. “We continue to look for new travel opportunities for Green Bay residents, and with its sunny year-round weather and endless activities, Tampa fits the bill for local sun-seekers. We look forward to the launch of this new service and greatly appreciate the continued support from the community and our Green Bay airport partner.”
The airline said the new route joins Denver and Orlando on Frontier’s Green Bay route map and boosts its number of weekly flights to eight this winter. Service starts December 16.
