Drive thru COVID-19 testing site in Appleton moves forward after collision

UPDATE: City officials said the Appleton COVID-19 testing site will open at 8:00 a.m. as originally planned. There may be delays when the tent rental company arrives to repair the damage.

UPDATE: The drive thru COVID-19 testing site in Appleton has been delayed Thursday after a van collided with a tent.

APPLETON, Wis. (NBC 26) -- A free drive thru COVID-19 testing site opens Thursday in Appleton.

It is located at Appleton North High School on Ballard Road.

Here are dates and times of the site:

  • October 15-17 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • October 19-21 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • October 26-28 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • November 2-4 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • November 9-10 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • November 16-18 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • November 23-25 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • November 30 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • December 1-2 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • December 7-9 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Anyone experiencing symptoms or who has been in contact with someone who tested positive is encouraged to get tested.

The testing site is available for those ages 5 and older.

Walk-up testing is available and any Wisconsin resident is welcome.
