OUTAGAMIE COUNTY, Wis. (NBC 26) -- The Fox Valley Humane Association has reopened their doors to the public since closing during the safer at home order. They have made several changes per CDC recommendations to continue to keep everyone safe.

All visitors must be at least 18-years-old until further notice and will be required to wear a mask while inside. They are also limited capacity to 10 people at a time. There are several hand sanitizing stations throughout the building and guests are encouraged to use them. Visitors will also be required to wash and sanitize hands when entering the building.

The closure gave employees the opportunity to deep clean everything from top to bottom and prepare to reopen on June 1.

Since reopening, a generous donation has come from a community member, Mary Beth Neinhaus. She has donated $100,000 towards the Fox Valley Humane Association, which operates as a match donation. Executive Director Vicki Prey says they are beyond thrilled to have her support and the opportunity to double it with fundraising can have an incredible impact.

There are several ways to donate. There is a collection bin inside and you can also donate online.

The Fox Valley Humane Association helps care for thousands of animals a year. If interested in adopting, you can search the current adoptable pets by clicking HERE.
