APPLETON (NBC 26) — In a letter to parents, YMCA of the Fox Cities said it won't be able to run a summer camp program this year at the Child Learning Center.
The organization says it's unable to run the camp due to a staffing crisis at the center.
Instead of the summer camp, the YMCA is offering other options for participating children. The following sites have space for children: Ferber Elementary, Janet Berry Elementary, and Camp Shioc (waitlist on certain days throughout the summer). Parents were asked to communicate their decision by the end of Monday, May 23.
"We will cancel any days without penalty," the YMCA's letter said.
The YMCA of the Fox Cities have not yes responded to NBC 26's request for comment.
