TOWN OF BRANDON, Wis. — The death of Mitch Lundgaard is leaving a vacant spot in the hearts of many people in northeast Wisconsin.

Chad Weston, a former EMT with the city of Omro, is using this difficult time to hopefully shed some light towards a family dealing with a tragic loss.

Weston has been writing personal blogs for some time now, to find comfort during a hard time. He says he didn't know mitch or the Lundgaard family, but he says anyone who works in public service in northeast Wisconsin is usually treated like family towards one another.

Which is why he wanted to write this letter to the family to hopefully find some peace during a difficult time.

"And so, I thought well you know what if this were to happen to me, even if I was just taken away while driving my car, I don't want my love ones to know at least what I was thinking about them,” Weston says.

Weston says he put the letter up on his Facebook page two days ago and it has already received dozens of comments. He says some of the people who reached out to him say his letter has helped some find closure during this difficult time.
