FOND DU LAC (NBC 26) -- A Fond du Lac mother now faces reckless homicide and child abuse charges. Shauntina Fuller-Pankey is accused of allegedly causing the death of her two-month-old child.
Court records say police were called to a home on Merrill Avenue in June of 2018 because of the baby girl's conditions. The child was declared dead at a local hospital.
According to the criminal complaint filed Wednesday, the child had a large skull fracture and the final autopsy said her cause of death was blunt force injury to the head.
The complaint said Fuller-Pankey told investigators that her daughter’s head hit a door. Fuller-Pankey said she then gave the child some Tylenol.
Shauntina Fuller-Pankey has been charged with First Degree Reckless Homicide and Child Abuse - Intentionally Cause Great Bodily Harm. Court records show she made her initial court appearance Wednesday.
