FOND DU LAC (NBC 26) — A 40-year-old man is facing charges of arson and criminal damage of property following a fire Tuesday, Fond du Lac Police said.
Firefighters responded to the fire Tuesday afternoon on N. Macy Street. Police said the fire was quickly extinguished but not before causing extensive damage to the home. Investigators found the fire to be suspicious and police said it appeared to be intentionally set.
Police said a 40-year-old Fond du Lac man was arrested for Arson and Criminal Damage to Property, he was transported to the Fond du Lac County Jail. Police said no one was injured.
Fond du Lac police and firefighters are still investigating the fire. Police said there is no threat to the community at this time, as this appears to be an isolated incident.
