FOND DU LAC, Wis. (NBC 26) - Fond du Lac firefighters were called to a fire at a duplex in the 200 block of North Military Road in Fond du Lac around 3 a.m. Thursday.
On the scene, they found heavy fire coming from the building.
The fire was extinguished, but it caused extensive damage to the two-story duplex.
The building owner says no one was living there at the time, and the building was unoccupied. No victims were found and no injuries reported.
Alliant Energy was on scene to secure the gas and electric lines.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
