FOND DU LAC COUNTY (NBC 26) -- The Fond du Lac County Fair is underway and runs through this weekend. It comes after dozens of other fairs in Wisconsin, including the Wisconsin State Fair, were canceled over coronavirus concerns.
While the Fond du Lac County Fair carries on this week, this year's fair will look different due to the virus.
Signs are in place around the fair grounds encouraging people to socially distance. The fair says the 2020 Miller Lite Grandstand acts have been postponed to 2021. The fair also announced on its website that the Expo Building will not feature any vendors this year.
The fair will also not provide any carnival rides or games this year.
Instead, a modified free fair with limited capacity will be held through Sunday. Parking will also be free. Anyone wishing to attend the fair must reserve a free ticket in advance.
While many aspects of the fair were canceled this year, the fair plans on having shows such as the Sea Lion Splash attraction, Los Moralitos Family Circus and The Barnyard Adventure Show.
