TOWN OF MORRISON (NBC 26) — Investigators are working to learn why a barn fire sparked early this morning just outside the Town of Morrison.
Firefighters responded to the barn off Stark Road just after 3 a.m., and they say the barn was already engulfed.
It took crews from at least 8 departments to contain the flames from spreading any farther.
Town of Morrison Fire Chief Jeff Pischke says one person was taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries, but 60 to 70 newborn pigs died in the fire.
The fire is currently out.
