GRAND CHUTE (NBC 26) — Fire Prevention Week is October 3-9, 2021 and this year’s fire prevention theme: is “Learn the Sounds of Fire Safety”.

The Grand Chute Fire Department is hosting a fire safety poster contest that is open to all 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade students who are residents of Grand Chute attending any school.

Posters are to be related to this year’s fire prevention theme: “Learn the Sounds of Fire Safety”.

Rules of Participation:

  • Participants must be in 2nd, 3rd, or 4th grade
  • Each poster must clearly depict the fire prevention theme
  • Each poster must have the following information on the backside: Student's Full Name, Parent's or Guardian’s Name, Telephone Number, Home Address, Teacher’s Name, School and Grade Level
  • Participants MUST live within the Grand Chute town limits

All posters must be submitted to Grand Chute Fire Station 1 – 2250 W. Grand Chute Blvd by 4pm, Friday, October 29th. Some classes at Houdini and Badger Elementary Schools may be completing these together. Those submitted at school per teacher instructions will be picked up at the school.

Poster contest winners will be contacted by the end of the day of Friday, November 5th. There will be one winner from each grade. Winners will receive a family pizza party delivered by a fire truck. Teachers of winning students will receive a $50 Amazon gift card to support their education expenses.
