GREEN BAY (NBC 26) -- The Farmers’ Market on Broadway is set to start on Wednesday, June 3.

In light of the coronavirus pandemic, the market will make some temporary changes, including reduced market hours from 4-7pm at Leicht Memorial Park, 128 Dousman.

A news release from the market said the ability to host it at Leicht Park allows vendors to operate 15 feet apart and attendees to stay six feet apart, as compared to the more limited space in the traditional location on Broadway. The Farmers Market on Broadway is known to draw in big crowds.

Organizers say attendance will be limited and follows the 4 people per 1,000 square foot of space guideline put out by the Department of Health and Brown County Health Department.

Like the Saturday Farmers Market in Green Bay, the market on Broadway will not allow seating intended for eating and drinking. It will also prohibit non-essential vendors including art/craft vendors, prepared foods, and entertainment. There will be no food sampling and market attendees won't be allowed to touch products.
