GREEN BAY — Fans got a treat at training camp this week with the Houston Texans practicing with the Packers.
For some, it was watching the Texans pick out children's bikes to ride to practice. For other fans, it was seeing J.J. Watt and getting his autograph, or the competition between the Packers and Texans during practice. No matter what their favorite part of this week was, it was a treat for fans having the Texans in town.
The excitement kicked off Monday morning when children lined up their bikes waiting for the Texans to hop on and ride to practice. J.J. Watt was the star this week for many fans, especially the young ones who look up to him, screaming his name as he rode by and stopping him for autographs.
For other fans, seeing the Packers and Texans practicing together was a special experience.
"It was almost like a real game, you know what I mean?” said Oshkosh resident Samuel Stindt. “Not as much people obviously, it's free. It's fun seeing both the teams out there. Usually you don't see that, so it was fun."
Some fans are keeping their fingers crossed that the Packers will host a team again next year during training camp.
