SEYMOUR (NBC 26) -- The celebrate National Adoption month, families with adopted children here in Northeast Wisconsin came together for a day of bowling.
"What better way to do it," said Holly Brick, a mother of an adopted child. "The kids just love it."
Brick struggled with infertility so she adopted two children. OURS Through Adoption of Northeast Wisconsin put on the event. The goal was to bring families together.
"You see diversity that you would not normally see," Brick said. "To have a group like this as parents only helped us."
This event didn't raise any money, but it was designed to spread awareness for adopted children. During this month, especially, agencies like OURS are encouraging families thinking about adoption to try. They say it can change a child's life.
