NEENAH (NBC 26) — Beginning Thursday, Jan. 6, all students, staff and visitors at Neenah High School will be required to wear masks during the school day.

In a letter to parents, the Neenah Joint School District Superintendent said the mask requirement will last through Friday, January 14.

There is no school on Monday, January 17 and masks will be optional on Tuesday, January 18, if cases decrease.

The letter to parents said Neenah High School has experienced an increase in positive cases of COVID-19 in recent weeks.

Due to the prevalence of cases, school officials urge parents to be extra diligent in helping to reduce the spread of COVID at school and at home. School officials encourage parents to have their students tested when they are in close contact with a positive case or exhibit COVID symptoms.
