The suspect accused of attacking a woman on the East River Trail in De Pere appeared in court Wednesday.
17-year-old Miles Cruz appeared at the Brown County Courthouse for a preliminary hearing. He's facing multiple criminal charges, including attempted homicide, sexual assault, and kidnapping.
The incident tied to these charges happened at the beginning of October when Cruz was accused of attacking and sexually assaulting a woman on the East River Trail while she was walking with her baby.
Prosecutors determined that Cruz’s DNA was found under the victim’s fingernails. Cruz previously denied ever touching or assaulting anyone on the trail.
