MADISON, Wis. - Spring is coming! That’s according to Jimmy the Groundhog. Jimmy predicted that spring is coming early, after not seeing his shadow Tuesday morning during the Sun Prairie Groundhog Day festivities.
The 74th Sun Prairie annual Groundhog Day Prognostication kicked off just before 7:00 a.m. at the Cannery Square, right as the sun began to rise.
People showed up, chanting the animals name and hoping for the best outlook. The event was held virtually last year.
In Green Bay, Bay Beach Bobby also saw no shadow this morning, at the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary. Signifying an early Spring for N.E.W. too.
However, in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania... Phil DID see his shadow. Legend has it, he is forecasting 6 more weeks of winter. How is this possible with the snow storm currently hitting the center of the Nation? One pocket of sunshine swept through right at the time Phil was looking for his shadow.
