OSHKOSH, Wis. (NBC 26) -- The history of the World War II era was told through flight on Friday and Saturday in Oshkosh.
Vintage planes reenacted specific events and battles from nearly 75 years ago.

Spectators from around the world sat in on the show at EAA Airventure.
"This is my fifth year in Oshkosh and by far it just gets better and better every time," Denzil Charles of the Mid America Flight Museum in Texas said. "This is my spiritual home. I love the aviation. I love the people. There's no better place in the world to be. [I'm] glad to be back. 2021. It's the best thing ever."
The planes seen in the show were used by the Navy and Army Air Forces during WWII.
Airventure runs through Sunday, Aug. 1.
